Health Help Now
Health Help Now aims to help people in Croydon and Sutton find the right service for their health needs. It provides advice and guidance and signposts to the relevant health and care services. It is suitable for everyone to use. Under 16s should use the product in conjunction with their parents.
Health Help Now has been developed by North and East London Commissioning Support Unit with input from local GPs and other health professionals. It lists common symptoms and offers advice and suggestions for treatment.
By choosing the right service for your needs, you can avoid unnecessary trips to A&E.
If you require urgent treatment for symptoms which are not listed on Health Help Now, please ring NHS 111.
How to add Health Help Now to your mobile device or tablet
iOS
Open Safari and go to www.healthhelpnow.nhs.uk. Click on the share icon and select the “Add to Home Screen” icon. An icon will then be placed on your home screen.
Depending on your device settings, the pop-up about cookies may appear on each page, even if you press “hide”. If you wish to accept cookies from Health Help Now and stop this happening go to: device home > settings > Safari > Block cookies – uncheck “always” and select “from third parties” or “never”.
Windows Phone 7/8
Open Internet Explorer and go to www.healthhelpnow.nhs.uk. Click on the “…” options icon and select “pin to start”, the web page will appear on the start menu although windows will not use the standard icon but a screen shot for the icon instead.

Android
Open Chrome and go to www.healthhelpnow.nhs.uk. Click on the add bookmark icon and click save. Open up the bookmarks tap and hold the icon and select “add to home screen”. The icon will now be added to your tablet or phone’s home screen.
Android devices are available in various different hardware and software combinations. Whilst every effort has been made to cater for as many Android devices as possible some older versions of the Android OS may experience problems when using the application. If you are experiencing problems it is recommended that you first upgrade your device to the latest release of the Android operating system.
