Dr J.O. Ojo

MBBS (Benin) 1988, FRCS
Dr. Ojo graduated from the University of Benin, Nigeria in 1988. He joined South Norwood Hill Medical Centre as a partner in December 1998 following the resignation of Dr. P. Critchley.

Previously, he worked in various hospitals in the UK doing jobs in ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Accident & Emergency, Psychiatry, General Medicine and Geriatrics.

His clinical interests are; ENT, Minor Surgery, Child Development and Trauma.

Dr. Ojo is the Clinical Governance and the Child Protection lead at South Norwood Hill Medical Centre.

Dr Ide Ojo

Consultant paediatrician

Dr Ide Ojo is highly skilled paediatrician with many years of experience as a Consultant in Community Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurodisability. She has over 30 years of NHS experience and has worked in high profiled NHS Trusts, including holding leadership, training, and managerial roles.

Dr Ide Ojo runs the regular child development clinic for new-born babies and children with neurodevelopmental needs.  Dr Ide Ojo works with Dr James Ojo, the lead GP, to oversee and manage the daily activities of the practice including ensuring the practice provides a reliable and accessible service for our patients.

Practice Nurse

Margaret Bell is a highly experienced practice nurse who has worked in the NHS for many years. She has experience in the acute and primary care setting. She has expertise and is highly skilled in managing respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD. She runs regular childhood vaccinations clinics, and supports the service with deliver of the GP/Practice nurse service.

The nursing care services include:

  • Chronic disease management
  • Family planning
  • Child and adult immunisations
  • Cervical smears
  • Holiday travel advice and immunisations
  • Monitoring of blood pressure
  • Ear syringing
  • Assisting the doctors in minor surgery
  • Taking blood for investigations

The receptionists will assist you in making appointments to see the doctors, nurses or other medical staff who attend at the surgery, process repeat prescriptions, answer queries and can offer help and assistance at all times. Confidentiality of patient records is maintained at the highest level by all staff.

Additional Staff

District Nurses

District nurses are employed by South West London ICB. Their duties include visiting patients at home when they are unable to come to the surgery.

Each patient’s needs are assessed and the care/treatment is planned accordingly. The community nurses provide a domiciliary phlebotomy service in appropriate instances.
